low angle shot : make the character look bigger / looking down on you

antagonist : mode of address ( will be posed so you can't see their whole face) this is to create
                    suspense

typography : scary, old fonts that may use blood etc..

lexis : words associated with horror e.g. 'nightmare' 'evil' or words associated with being lost like

'friday the 13th' analysis

The colour pallet follows genre conventions because red, black, and brown are used to connote the horror genre. Suspense is created as this colour pallet connotes a creepy, scary feeling set in the woods.
The main image follows conventions of horror as it is a far away shot of the antagonist and cannot see his face cresting suspense.

The background of the antagonist follows conventions, its a low angle shot of a gothic, 'ghostly' forest with the shadowy actor stood in the front.
The typography follows the conventions as it uses the colour connotation red, meaning it symbolises blooded hell.

'friday the 13th' is a lexis as it associates with the day 'friday the 13th' which is suppose the be the most un lucky days of the year, that gives you an idea of when this movie is set.
